Before we returned home from our trip to Patagonia, we stayed in Buenos Aires for the night. Since we had arrived in the late morning there was plenty of time to explore the Recoleta Cemetery as it was only a few blocks from our hotel.

This is a rather famous "City of the Dead" most noted for the remains of Eva Perón. But even as it is the final resting place of many of Argentina's wealthiest and famous families, there were also many sites in sad shape and those fascinated me more.

While we came to see Torres del Paine and Fitz Roy, I equally enjoyed spending the afternoon here.
