California
I've lived in California for more than 30 years but, with limited resources (i.e no car or money to travel), I really didn't get a chance to see much until I was over 40. And it's only been in the last five years or so that I found myself getting back into photography.
While I have enough photographs from both Yosemite and Death Valley to create a gallery for each location, this gallery is for shots taken here and there along the coast or in other locations.

Uvas Canyon State Park
This is small park in Santa Clara county that has a number of nice waterfalls and an easy path along the river. It can be a bit challenging to photograph here since, being in a canyon, the light rarely penetrates the forest cover. I'd just purchased a nice high-quality wide angle lens before heading out this morning. A little extra post-processing using Topaz filters after compositing several shots in Photomatix helped to create the final image.
