Bodie State Park - Wheaton & Hollis Hotel
The Wheaton and Hollis Hotel has many rooms that extend down the length of the hotel. This is called the "Alchemist's Room" and clearly contains the equipment a chemist might use. I'm not sure if that was chemistry related to mining or creating potions or something to cure the miners. Perhaps it was a bit of both. You can see into this room from the outside of the hotel looking in through the window on the street. The view is much like this but a little more limited. Plus, like all the views through the windows, you need to contend with dirty glass and possible reflections. This time I paid for access on a private photography workshop and was able to set up where I liked and shoot away as much as I wanted.
