Bodie State Park - Stamp Mill
I took two photographs of this room. It is the first room inside the stamp mill on the tour. This was referred to as "The Engineer's Room" as it contained all the equipment required to build and repair anything needed by the mill. This shot is from just inside the room and I set up my tripod while everyone else was gathered around the ranger listening to him talk about everything the engineer needed to be prepared to handle. The floor boards in here, as throughout the mill, were so loose I had to wait until the main group had moved on because their walking around moved the tripod too much. But I love the stuff strewn about the table. And the ability of Photomatix to combine both the blue sky outside the window with everything lit up by only the ambient light is the primary strength I find using HDR brings to the table. There is even a bit of the sky reflected in a broken piece of glass on the table.
