Poveglia

At the end of my exploring I came on this room and these strange "tubes". As you can see, they extend from one room into the next. Used for disinfecting? Poveglia was used as a quarantine facility several times and some portion of equipment may have remained even when the building was converted to the retirement home. Another mystery. If some looking at this has another guess - or an answer - please add a comment.
