Nearly forty years ago, my Grandfather brought me into his darkroom and together we printed a black and white photograph I'd taken of an old barn.
Abobe Lightroom and a digital SLR have replaced the film, trays and enlarger. But, having learned to compose, develop and print in black and white, the approach I take today owes much to that black and white film history.
Richard, I am very impressed with your photography. I have been to many of the same locations as you and I feel you do a particularly good job of capturing the feel of the location. Your Bodie photos are a great example - they evoked a feeling of that time in history for me. I look forward to seeing more of your work as time goes by.
